Privacy & account information
Updated October 1, 2026
This explains how information is used in the Grit Fitness website and app at www.gritfitnessocr.com. Questions? Contact kenny@gritfitnessocr.com or (979) 217 2025.
What you provide
- Your account: First name, last name, email address and whether you consider yourself a current Grit member. Phone number, how you heard about us and referral details are optional.
- Your preferences: Separate choices for email offers and text offers, along with records of when those choices were saved.
- The challenge: Your chosen public display name, activity dates, walking, jogging or running, miles, and confirmation that you completed the activity on that date.
- Account activity: Account creation, email confirmation and sign in information used to operate accounts and help resolve access problems.
How it is used
We use account information to provide your login, save your profile, run the challenge, calculate progress and standings, help with account issues, and understand how people find Grit. Your membership answer helps us organize accounts. It does not verify paid membership or give access to owner controls.
What other people can see
The public challenge leaderboard shows the display name you choose, completed days, total mileage, activity totals and streak. Choose a nickname if you do not want your full name displayed. Your account email, phone number, private profile answers and individual activity history are not displayed on the public leaderboard.
You can access your own profile and activity history. The Grit owner can review account details, correct profiles and login email addresses, and manage challenge entries. Signing up for an account does not automatically join the public leaderboard; joining the challenge includes a separate public display confirmation.
Email and text choices
Special offers are optional. You can use your account and participate in the challenge without choosing email or text offers. Update your choices in Account, or contact Grit for help. Account confirmation and password recovery emails are separate from marketing preferences. If the owner changes your login email, email offer permission is cleared for the new address.
Services that support the app
The website uses Sites for hosting and app data storage, Supabase for member authentication, and Resend for account emails. These services process information needed to provide those functions. Passwords are handled by the authentication service and are not shown in the owner account directory. Hosting and authentication services may also process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to operate and secure their services.
Free trial forms open in Jotform. Membership and billing tools open in GymMaster and use a separate login. Those services, along with linked social platforms and YouTube, have their own privacy practices. Details you submit on those services are handled through those services, rather than through this app’s profile form.
Information saved on your device
The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in, remember whether you have seen the home screen guide, and remember where to send you after account setup. The destination reminder expires after one day. Sign out on shared devices. Clearing browser storage may sign you out and reset these preferences.
Corrections and removal requests
You can edit your profile and contact preferences in Account. Challenge entries can be edited or removed within the challenge’s logging rules; contact Grit if you need help outside those limits.
Signing out or removing the home screen shortcut does not delete your account or saved activity. To ask for a copy, correction or removal of your account information, email kenny@gritfitnessocr.com. We may need to verify that the request is from the account holder. Please do not send passwords.
Families and youth participation
Parents should contact Kenny before setting up participation for a child or sharing a child’s personal information. Youth participation in gym activities remains at Kenny’s and the parents’ discretion.
Changes to this page
As the app changes, we will update this explanation and the date above.
